Sending LOVE: Part One of our Four Part “We LOVE Our Community” Series!
At Glance, Community is one of our value words. We love being a part of the Bismarck/Mandan Community and showing up for our neighbors whenever possible. We believe in being part of the solution and helping those around us however we can. Along with all of our regular volunteering that we do; this year, we decided to do something a little different to show our LOVE to the community.
In 2021 we are doing a four part LOVE series to give back to our community in a new and different way.
So this year we will be:
SENDING LOVE - SPREADING LOVE - BEING THE LOVE - SHARING THE LOVE
We can’t wait to share the details of the series throughout the year and involve our guests in loving our community!
We kicked off the series in February with
“SENDING LOVE”.
In the month of February we asked our guests if they would like to donate $4 to sponsor a self-care bag to donate to residents of two local nursing homes. The treat bag contained Dove chocolate, Hempz body lotion, a nail file + buffer, and because of the amazing generosity of the ReDavid brand each resident will also be receiving a luxury hair treatment and a moisturizing ChapStick. How amazing is that!? It has been such a hard year for everyone, especially nursing home residents; so we hope the residents feel loved and refreshed after receiving these treats.
Every guest that donated to the SENDING LOVE campaign, also took the time to fill out the back of a postcard with a heartfelt message of hope and love! We attached one postcard to each bag to hopefully bring smiles and optimism to those that need it the most!
With the help of all of our guests in this community we were able to donate
400 self-care bags! WOW!
We had the pleasure of personally delivering our “SENDING LOVE” packages to the nursing homes! Socially distanced, of course.
We are pleased to report they were certainly well received and loved by all!
