Get to know: Laura Rogers
Laura is celebrating TEN years at glance this year. We are so lucky to have this encouraging, methodical, and GREAT listener be a part of our team for so long! Today we celebrate Laura and her journey in the beauty industry to get her to where she is today; and maybe we will just learn a new thing or two about this self- proclaimed chef and travel addict along the way!
Laura + her mom and dad Laura grew up in Fergus Falls MN. She makes trips back there frequently to visit her parents and family. Laura is thankful for the relationship that she has with her dad, everything from teaching her to be a good, faithful person to having the stubborn determination and pride to accomplish greatness she attributes to her father.
After graduating high school in 2005 Laura moved to Fargo to start cosmetology school at Josef’s right away!
You always said you wanted to be a lawyer when you grew up, so how did you get started in hair school?!
“I always enjoyed doing prom hair, and coloring friends hair in high school, but I didn’t know if it was something I wanted to make my full career. So I decided to job shadow for a couple months to see if it was something I wanted to do. Well, turns out I was interested enough that I started right after I graduated and I LOVED it! I felt a real joy in haircuts and had a great instructor that had an awesome influence on my love for it! Thanks Mr. Kent!”
After hair school, Laura worked as a stylist in Fargo for 6 years before moving to Mandan in 2011 and starting a family with her husband, Josh. They have three beautiful little boys together and love to travel and explore outdoors together as much as possible!
Laura started working at Glance right in 2011 when she moved to town and the rest is history!
She is our Haircut Educator and also provides all hair services! She loves being a part of the team at Glance because “we are all there to encourage, help and have each other’s best interests at heart! We all work together and collaborate as a single salon unit, even though we all have our own individual gears, it’s a well oiled machine!”
“Since I have worked at Glance I have had many great opportunities to further my education, including training others! It’s very powerful to strengthen your own skills, while being disciplined in showing others techniques. It has been wonderful to travel across the world and across the country for experiences in education from watching competitions, to haircut training, to chemical peels, to face zoning and business!”

In the future Laura is looking forward to sharing more education with the team and expanding her knowledge on natural therapies including essential oils and zoning of the body!

The beautiful Laura Rogers, rocking that bowl cut! 1) She loves to travel plan! She is the go to girl for all our salon travel plans and enjoys taking her boys on adventures as well! Her favorite adventure she has ever been on was when she went to Norway!
2) She is a Garth Brooks lover! Two pina coladas anyone?!
3) Her must have beauty items are her eye shadow palette and q-tips!
4) She loves to cook and be creative in the kitchen! She thinks one of the best meals come from using what is in the fridge and not following a recipe!
5) And drum roll please…….. She totally rocked the bowl cut in the fourth grade.
