Get to know: Heather Pitsiladis
Heather is celebrating four years at Glance this year. We love having this happy, caring, and motivated woman be a part of our team! Today we celebrate Heather and her journey in life that led her to be the smiling and positive ray of sunshine that greets you when you walk thru the doors of Glance!
Heather was born and raised in Rolette, ND. Her mom, dad and brother still live there and she loves to go back often to visit. She has now lived in Bismarck since she graduated high school and raises her two athletic, strong willed and energetic boys here! Madden and Beckett sure keep her on her toes, but she wouldn’t have it any other way. They enjoy all things camping, hockey, and being active in the community together.
Heather, who do you admire most in life?
“I have always tried (often fail miserably) to model my life after my grandma Kavlie. She was a beautiful Christian lady who loved God, loved people, cared for her family deeply, and was kind to everyone. You never heard to say one negative word about anything or anybody. She was giving of her time and resources and was just a breath of fresh air! She went to live with the angels in 2020 and I just hope to make her proud.”
When Heather was a child, she never really knew what she wanted to be when she grew up; she just always knew she wanted to enhance the lives of others around her and be happy!
This lead her to head off to college to pursue a degree in Social Work. She worked as a Counselor at the State Penitentiary for 8 years prior to Glance. When Andrea, Heathers sister, bought Glance Heather was involved with helping set up the salon and getting things started but she still loved her job as a social worker to fully commit to diving into the salon world with her sister!
That all changed four years ago when Heather came on full time at Glance!
She now spends her days making the world a more beautiful place and still is enhancing the lives of those around her; just in a different aspect than what she was doing before with her degree! God sometimes has a different plan for your life than you have for yourself but one thing is for sure, no matter who crosses Heathers path; they will feel her sunshine.
Andrea, owner of Glance Spa and Salon with Heather - two boss babes! Heather loves working with her “second family” at Glance. She loves that we can laugh together, cry together, do life together, and best of all - CARE together! It’s important to Heather to work somewhere that is community focused and does whatever they can to help better the community and those in need; and she found that at Glance. You’ll often find Heather volunteering at Heavens Helpers, being a listening ear to a guest, making others around her smile, and just being there for people and genuinely caring about them. Man are we lucky to have her!

FIVE FAST FACTS ABOUT HEATHER THAT YOU PROBABLY DIDN’T KNOW:
1) Her must have beauty item is Grande lash + Mascara; safe to say she’s a lash girl!
2) Christmas music is her jam- November thru January; you can be sure that is what she is listening to! She is also known to decorate for Christmas in October!
3) Last book she read: Didn’t see that coming- Rachel Hollis
4) On her night stand you will find: Water bottle, salt lamp, oil diffuser, and a stack of motivational books!
5) and drum roll please…. Heather Pitsiladis does still sleep with her baby blanket and is known for sacrificing precious carry on luggage space to make sure that she has that with her everywhere she goes! awwwwh, so cute!
