Get to know: Kaitlin Rahrich
Kaitlin is celebrating SEVEN years at Glance this year. We love having this bold, joyful, and determined woman be a part of our team! Today we celebrate Kaitlin and her journey in the beauty industry to get her to where she is today; and maybe we will just learn a new thing or two about this inquisitive and healthy living focused Glance team member!
Kaitlin, Josh, Jude, and Henry Kaitlin was born and raised in Bismarck and her and her husband, Josh, are now raising their two handsome and active little boys here! They love being outdoors; camping, fishing, and going on adventures together! They are big hockey fans; Go Capitals! They also have a fun loving and active dog named Stoeger that keeps them on their toes!
Jude + Henry Christmas 2020 Kaitlin, who do you admire the most?
My mom, Karla! She is always positive and upbeat. She makes friends wherever she goes and is always willing to help others. Plus her sense of fashion is on point and she changes her nail color every week. She’s just the cutest.
Kaitlin grew up watching her mom do her own hair and always thought that was the coolest thing. So the passion and desire to pursue hair started young! She started chopping on her trolls dolls hair at age six and the fire has never really stopped!
Kaitlin when she graduated hair school!Kaitlin loved cutting her own hair (we don’t advise this, haha) getting all her girlfriends done up for special events and experimenting with different looks; so it was no surprise that when she graduated high school in 2011 she went straight on to hair school to turn her creative childhood passion into a career!
Kaitlin has now been in the industry for eight years and joined the GLANCE TEAM in 2014!
Kaitlin works behind the chair providing all hair services such as cuts, colors and extensions and she is also a Lash Artist which means she does lash extensions (her fave!) and lash lifts and tints! Kaitlin feels blessed to have had the opportunity to travel all over the country receiving continuing education - her favorite classes she ever took were a Goldwell Master Colorist class in NYC and a volumation lash class in Pasedena CA! Talk about amazing experiences!
When it comes to what brings Kaitlin JOY about being in the beauty industry,
she had this to say:
"I love the connections that I have formed with so many people. I love when you can feel someone’s energy completely shift from the start of the service, until the time they leave. It truly is a gift to be able to impact so many lives."
In the future Kaitlin would like to be a full time lash artist and Glance health coach! I agree Kaitlin, I mean can we get a kombucha bar up in here?!
FIVE FAST FACTS ABOUT KAITLIN THAT YOU PROBABLY DIDN’T KNOW:
1) The number one thing on Kaitlins bucket list right now is: Living in a van and traveling for a few months. Maybe ending up in a rainforest for a while.. trying to live off the grid. But can I bring my vitamix?!
2)Her senior class voted her most likely to sing on American Idol.
3) Her must have beauty item is WATER! “Hydration is the number one contributor in overall wellness. I see pictures of myself from times in my life where drinking water wasn’t a priority, and you can definitely tell the difference in my skin!”
4) Late Night by Odesza is a song that she can hear and always want to dance to it….but her dancing skills aren’t that great; she says!
5) I normally only drink coffee at home now, but if I am ordering from Starbucks, I order a matcha latte with almond milk.
