Be BOLD Fall 2021 Photoshoot: Behind the Scenes

We decided to close the salon down for the entire day so we could have our full attention on our models, being creative, and team bonding. Yes, we get to fulfill hair dreams every single day, but there is something different about working on a model where you have full creative freedom to execute a look from hair, to makeup, to wardrobe, to props and personality in front of the camera. As a creative, its always a really cool experience to see your work come alive on the screen.
Jess and Jenna worked hard to make this photoshoot come to life.

they were able to make their visions come to life.
"We decided to make the theme for the fall 2021 photoshoot Be BOLD. After a hard last year and a half for a lot of people we just wanted to capture people being bold with their hair and expressing who they are. We instructed our team to only do block coloring techniques to make their vision come to life. We just wanted to challenge everyone to think outside of the box and do something different than our day to day behind the chair.” - Jenna
“We had everyone on our team partner up, we are a team based salon after all, so working in pairs just made sense to us. Next we gave everyone a category; 2 blonde, 1 brunette, 1 red head, and 1 fashion color. We wanted to be able to show a wide variety of color in the shoot and show that you can be BOLD with your hair no matter what. Then to add an additional creative layer to the photoshoot every team was assigned an emotion. Fierce, fun, passion, joy, and serenity; the style, wardrobe, props, and personality of the model all had to fall in line with the emotion. There were a lot of pieces to the puzzle to make the whole photoshoot come to life; and I am so proud of the team for trusting Jenna and I and stepping up to the challenge!” -Jess
“We started the day with coffee (of course), we had a catered lunch, and one other thing… this entire day was a PAID day for our stylists.
