New Culture, New Brand

The Beginnings

It has been 11 years since I, Andrea Birst the owner of Glance, walked through the doors of the salon for the very first time.  It’s hard to believe how fast time goes.  Glance had been in existence for one year before I came along.  We decided to keep the logo and current branding just to make the transition of new ownership easy and less confusing.  So much change, modifications, learning, and growth has happened over the years and most significantly in the last 5 years.  After being in business and a young salon owner for 7 years I found myself in a place of wanting to make some serious changes to the company I was creating and the culture I was developing.  It started with leadership and it started with me.

Team Based Salon

Myself, and every team member here at Glance has been dedicated and have worked hard on transforming our companies culture to a team based environment.  I cannot even begin to tell you all the details and how amazing it has been in so many ways.  What team culture means for our guests is that we have worked hard to elevate ourselves and work together to make their experiences better than ever before.  Best of all, our culture has shifted and molded into one that is not competitive, but fun, loving, and community focused.  If you have been a long time guest of ours you may have noticed the change, we sure have!

A Change in Branding

I write all of that to share the exciting news of our rebranding! This year we made a big decision to pause and refocus our branding.  Internally we have truly become a new company culturally and it was time to align ourselves with our brand.  This has been a lengthy process with much thought and decision-making.

Thankfully we found The Good Kids to help take us through this process and they have been everything we could have ever hoped for and more.  It was important to us that we communicate to the world, and our community, who we are and what we stand for as a company.  We focused on creating our brand to communicate our fun and inviting culture.  We transitioned from the hash bold colors to warmer inviting color tones.   I can honestly tell you that I know we made the right move and the correct choices because our new brand and look feels right and we believe it aligns perfectly with who we have become.

We have been able to focus and rebrand a lot of elements so far this year as well as update and remodel a couple areas in the salon that was much needed.  This culture shift and re branding never would have been possible without the support of our guests.  We send sincere thanks and gratitude to each person who have allowed us to take care of them over the years.  We hope you enjoy our new look and invite you to come in to experience it for yourself!
