Night-time Skincare Routine: The Basics
Are you a “still wearing mascara from yesterday” kinda girl? Then this post is for you! Let Amanda, our Esthetician, break it down into four easy steps that you can incorporate into your pre-bedtime skincare routine that your skin will thank you for!
Step 1: Always remove your makeup!
No, really. This is a cardinal rule of makeup, so let’s start there! This doesn’t have to be a long or hard process. In fact we have just one product that will wash all your makeup away in one easy step. Introducing the Magic Mitt from Jane Iredale. Slip this mitt on, wet it down with water, and gently start rubbing and wiping to remove your makeup. It’s that easy! The best part is the magic mitt is reusable, just wash the mitt in soapy water, rinse, hang to dry and it’s ready to use again tomorrow!
Step 2: Cleanse, Cleanse, Cleanse!
Now that you have a clean canvas, lets cleanse the face. If you have oily or combination skin, check out our Laurel Support Cleanser. This non-stripping facial cleanser is ideal to soothe red, inflamed or irritated skin. On the flipside if you are looking for a cleanser for dry skin or your main concern is anti-aging check out the Laurel Effortless Cleanser to hydrate and nourish your skin. Both cleansers are easy to use! Just pump into fingertips, massage into skin, and rinse with warm water.
Step 3: Moisturize!
If you have dry skin, the Night Balm from Laurel is where it is at for you. This rich and concentrated moisturizer will repair free radical damage and restore skin vibrancy and brightness. For someone that is not needing as much moisture or has more acne prone skin check out the Jane Iredale Beauty Prep Face Moisturizer. This moisturizer will also brighten, moisturize and protect skin from airborne pollutants, but not be as rich or concentrated as the Laurel cleanser. It is lightweight, breathable, and easy to apply to your face and neck.
