Get to know: Jenna Galt
Jenna is celebrating FIVE years at Glance this year. We love having this strong, creative, and hardworking woman be a part of our team! Today we celebrate Jenna and her journey in the beauty industry to get her to where she is today; and maybe we will just learn a new thing or two about this thoughtful and adventure driven Glance Team member!
Jenna grew up in Lemmon South Dakota and she has now called the Bismarck/Mandan area home for the last eight years. Jenna has one younger sister that she loves to spend time with and she has a very close and special relationship with her grandma.
Jenna is one of the newlyweds around the salon; she married her husband Derek in 2020 and they are so excited to start building a family together.
Jenna LOVES to travel and spend time outdoors. Derek and her love to go to Colorado to go hiking and attend concerts! She loves her vanilla sweet cream cold brew from Starbucks and she is our resident plant lady here at Glance.

Jenna, who do you look up to most in your life?
”My grandma. Because she is a strong independent feisty lady. She has taught me so many things throughout my life. I wouldn't be the lady I am today without her. Most importantly I inherited her green thumb and love for gardening.”
Okay- come on! Can we just look at little kid Jenna?! So cute!!!!!
Jenna, when you were little you wanted to be a fashion designer! How did you get started in the beauty industry?
“I always thought it would be so fun to transform someone and make them smile. But I was unsure if going to Cosmetology school was what I wanted to do. One summer I toured the JZ Trend Academy and immediately knew I had to pursue this career path. I started that fall. I went to school for 2100 hours. I fell more in love everyday with making people's day.”

Jenna loves her blonde babes and her pixie cut guests at the salon! She loves playing with color and creating new and fun looks to bring out her guests personality. Jenna also offers nail services and brow shaping services and also loves to transform peoples looks with extensions. She loves watching their eyes light up when she takes off the cape and showcases a new look that makes a guest feel great about themselves!

Jenna, after seven years in the industry and the last five of them at Glance; what is your favorite part of working for a team salon?
“I love that I have an amazing group of women to help me everyday. No matter what. I have a second home and many sisters to help me grow and become a better version of myself.”

1) The top thing on my bucket list right now is to go to Alaska and go fishing!
2) I love plants. There is a special feeling walking into a warm greenhouse full of plants. Last time I counted I had over 80 plants throughout the house. Big plants. Small plants. I like them all!
3) I am a morning person! I love waking up in the morning enjoying a cup of coffee and listening to the birds chirp outside.
4) Heat Waves By Glass Animals is my jam right now!
5) I have one younger sister and we are 8 years apart and have a really close relationship!
