At Glance we are committed to education. We believe in continuing to grow ourselves, each other, and the industry. This year we spent great deal of time on continuing our education in cutting. We did this to not only strengthen our individual skill set but to also create a cohesive and consistent cutting program in our salon that would further enhance our guests experience, no matter what stylists chair they were sitting in.

We embarked on a year long educational path with Sally Rogerson. She not only taught our education team stronger cutting techniques she also taught them HOW to teach the techniques to the next generation of stylists. This further solidifies our training program to really be able to take our teaching skills to the next level to better serve our team.

Lets look at how we spent our year working on the SR Education cutting program!

January 2023 We had Sally come to Glance to introduce the new cutting program to the entire team!

February 2023 the Educators at Glance took off for Los Angeles where they got hands on educator training on the new system.

From February until May we worked hard on our homework to practice the haircuts and also on our theory lectures and working demos to practice and hone in on our teaching skills. We also hosted hands on classes for the rest of the Glance team so they could be learning right along with us and helping us with our presentation skills!

In May the education Team headed back out to LA to finish up our training!

In August Sally came to enjoy the ND sunshine and the Glance educators went with her to teach a SR Cutting class to the students at the Hair Academy. The school is also implementing the SR Cutting System into their school! It was a lot of fun to put our new found teaching skills to the real test and be able to spread that hairstylist love!

While Sally was here in August we also did a mini photoshoot at the salon with here where we featured each of the new haircuts!

It was a lot of fun to work in partners and execute each one of the five haircuts on our wonderful models!

This fall we have been hosting regularly scheduled internal cutting classes to make sure the entire team is strong in all of our new haircuts. We have also been revamping our training program so that we can continue to give our newest teammates the latest and greatest education out there!

All of this is done to continue to grow to better serve YOU! A team that never stops learning and growing is a team that is unstoppable. We are so excited to enhance your haircuts with our new skills!
