Glance is committed to its mission and we strive to live out our values everyday. This year we decided to spend some intentional time focusing on our value words, one at a time. Digging in deep to what they mean to us, how they show up in our company, and how we live them out everyday.
The first focus word was LOVE! Check out how we played LOVE at the highest level these last two months!
We started by reading this awesome book and really getting to know our own and our teammates love languages! We love growing our minds any chance we get.
Once you can understand how your teammates want to be loved and appreciated at work; the game changes. We love to know ourselves and our teammates on a deeper level.
Every single day we begin with huddle. In January and February we had daily prompts that centered our minds and hearts on the word love and kept us intentionally living out the word each day. We love starting our day getting connected and focused.
We partnered with the 31:8 project and together with our guests we raised over $1,000 to donate to their cause. If you are not familiar with their mission, check it out HERE. We love serving others.
We hosted a gal-entines day event for local woman business owners. We love supporting other community businesses.
Andrea and Laura traveled to Montana to broaden their knowledge on all things essential oils, skincare, and enhancing our spa services to better serve our guests. We love natural, clean, good for you ingredients and bringing the best products in the industry back to our guests!
A group of Glance girls took on the BIG event that Lanza hosted in Orlando Flordia. They left feeling inspired, recharged, and excited to get back behind the chair. We love traveling to continuing education to keep our passion for the industry alive.
Robyn + Jess hosted a romantic valentines day Italian lunch for the team to spend some time connecting. It was complete with a gondola ride, candles, live music, and delicious homemade Italian food. We love food, fun, and laughing so hard we cry.
At Glance we have a group that is dedicated to creating FUN around the salon! For valentines day they gave out cute little treats to brighten everyone’s day! We love the little things.
We hosted Steve from Strategies in the salon to continue to grow our love for our team culture and dive deeper into what it means to be no-compromise team in all that we do. We love being a team!
We went to our newest team members hair school graduation and we have been working hard these last two months to pour love and knowledge into her every second of every day. We love growing our team and building up the next generation of stylists.
We love truly working as a team, everyday.
We hosted multiple in salon education classes these last two months. We have been focusing on refining our cutting education program and our expanding our knowledge on extensions. We love learning from each other and helping each other grow!
We packaged up every ones and their partners favorite snacks and made date night boxes. We completed the box with love language material and the test so that each couple could take the test, if they hadn’t already, and dive deeper into their relationship. We love building up our team in ways that extend far beyond the walls of Glance.
We made hand scrub and offered it complimentary to our guests. We love enhancing our guests experience.
We celebrated National Popcorn day! We love snacks…. really we love anything to do with food haha!
We continued to love on our guests behind the chair and in all that we do. We love our guests!
As you can see, L O V E shows up everyday in almost everything that we do. From how we work together, to the fun that we have, to the way we service guests and show up in our community - we choose to lead with love.
